Animation with Sound
This project started in around January 2020 when Hullabaloo orchestra improvised responses to animations I had made at an exhibition of my work at CICCIC in Taunton. I go to monthly Hullabaloo Improvising sessions and results of our collaboration have been seen at the Seed Factory, Aller and the Bridgwater Arts Centre. A Japanese composer has also provided music for my animations. I am doing work which I hope Hullabaloo and Nowhereland will wish to use. Also trying to learn how to synchronise sound with animation directly.
Wind Powered Installation
Some figures made from dead branches, wire and painted papier-mache were hung from trees at the Secret Garden in Milverton as part of the 10 Parishes Festival, Somerset in September 2023. Something similar seems possible at the venue for the festival in 2024. Simon Healy, a local artist, helped me hang the work and the intention is for us to work together to create a group of interacting figures reflecting themes he is developing. It is hoped that sound and light might be added relying on wind and perhaps solar power. Perhaps ways can be found for visitors to influence how the figures relate to each other.
Implicate Project
The Implicate Art Group was established in Devon UK about 25 years ago. Members have varied backgrounds maintaining a dialogue about art in its widest possible context. They have had several joint exhibitions. We are now developing ideas for another one
The First People
I am a member of this group established about 25 years ago. Some are practicing artists and we have had a number of exhibitions. It’s has regular meetings in which we discuss each others’ work and issues of the day that concern us. We have decided that we now need a project to concentrate our minds. I expect to be heavily involved in whatever it is.
Lala La Land
This is an imaginary land in which hard working serfs escape from people only interested in having a good time, bullying other people or having deep thoughts. Two booklets have been produced and one needs to be revised. The booklets can be bought through Feedback. Many images can ben seen in paintings.
Adventures with Choices
Some illustrated stories have been started that offer choices to readers as they progress. they are set in an imaginary place during pre-historic times.
Fake Medecine
Boxes, posters and leaflets were prepared pretending to offer remedies to common problems such as boredom, anger, unwanted holidays etc. The basic material still exists but is not publicly available
Decorating T shirt Workshop
A small workshop is proposed in which people can decorate their own T shirts. Costs will be kept as low as possible and cheap plain T shirts could be provided. No attempt will be made to influence designs other than to produce a few examples of what might be possible.
